Executive Branch- Carries out the nation's laws, contains the President, vice president, and various executive offices.
- The president has many different jobs.
- As chief executive, the president is responsible for carrying out the nations laws.
- As chief diplomat, the president directs foreign policy, appoints ambassadors, and negotiates foreign treaties.
- As chief of the armed forces, the president can use the military to intervene or offer assistance in cries at home and around the world.

Legislative Branch- The Legislative Branch makes the nations laws.
- Congress is split into two groups for decisions.
- The House of Representatives, and the Senate. Each state has a certain amount of representatives in the House based on population.
- However, to make it more fair for the smaller states, each state has two senators. But after a bill is proposed, the president must approve of it or veto it.

Judicial Branch- The Judicial Branch interprets the laws.
- If someone is arrested and accused of breaking the law, the Judicial Branch decides whether the person did in fact commit a crime, broke the law, or neither.
- The judge has the right to assign someone of a sentence pertaining to whatever crime they committed.
- The person convicted has the right to a lawyer and an attorney.
